Acute vs. chronic: time of onset

Behaviour: Do lesions come and go, recur in the same area?

Change in size or colour

Discomfort: itching, burning/tingling, pain

Effects of external agents: sun, detergents

Family history: psoriasis, atopic dermatitis

Pills and allergies

Past history: sunburns & exposure, similar rash

Previous treatments: steroids, moisturizers, ointments/creams
